BIRD WATCHING IN THE ESTUARY

Our Chalet is based in the Middlevlei Nature Reserve - 450 hectares of rolling sand dunes with a treasure trove for bird enthusiasts. This wetland brings the birdlife right to your doorstep. Expect to see Francolins foraging around in the garden. Seagulls and Terns wheeling overhead. Amongst the rocks on the coast you may spot the elusive African Black Oystercatcher. If you're lucky you may see flocks of Flamingos on the lake.
